Food waste continues to be high on the agenda in many countries. New research by the UN has highlighted that despite efforts, world hunger is on the rise with over 820 million people suffering from hunger every day.
The World Food Summit was opened by the Prime Minister of Denmark in Copenhagen. This is the second year of this well attended summit. ‘Better Food for More People’ brought CEOs, government officials, Michelin star chefs and civil society to try and solve some of our big global problems. One of the four themes is how to reduce food waste – I will share a link to the finalised comminique of the outcomes in a forthcoming newsletter. Read more...

A few highlights from past events
On 12th July, 2018 The Lost Food Project was awarded the EU-MCCI (Malaysian Chamber of Commerce & Industry) 2017 Sustainability Award for a SME with the best social impact. Thanks to all our partners & volunteers for making this possible #thelostfoodproject
On 8th September 2018, The Lost Food Project received the JCI Sustainable Development Award in recognition of our work in rescuing food, reducing waste and fighting hunger. The award acknowledges our contribution to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal #2; Zero Hunger.
Wednesday 27th July 2018 saw the launch of a Strategic Partnership between British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC) and The Lost Food Project.
