TLFP'S FESTIVE FOOD DRIVE
The next few months are some of the hardest faced by those in need in Malaysia. During the wet season, price increases make it hard for families to make ends meet.
The families & charities we serve rely on our food partners to give surplus food. We receive a lot of good quality food, but the products shown in the poster below are not often given to us. Please put a box of staple foods together to help those in need this festive season.
Where should I deliver my festive food box or boxes collected by my organisation, school or university?
Please deliver to TLFP Warehouse
Location: c/o Malaysian Red Crescent, 54 Lengkok, Belfield
When: On Mondays and Wednesdays (boxes will be accepted ONLY until Wednesday 19th December)
Time: Between 10-11AM (individuals and small quantities)
For large deliveries, please deliver on Monday 7th December between 9:30am-12pm.
Please complete this Delivery Form before delivering your festive food box so we can put in place the resources needed to manage large deliveries. and make sure you label the box with your name, contact number and number of items.
On World Food Day on 16th October 2018, The Lost Food Project held a one-day challenge to encourage each of us to respect our food and reduce our own personal food waste. The #MYCleanPlate challenge was taken up by hundreds of hungry people keen to finish everything on their plate and reduce their personal food waste. Visit us on Instagram to see some photos of the event.
Thank you to the many schools, universities, corporate organisations, charities and individuals who took part across Kuala Lumpur and even as far as Johor Bahru!
The Lost Food Project raised almost RM40,000 that will go to rescuing more food and feeding those in need.
LUNCH N LEARN WORKSHOPS
The Lost Food Project team regularly delivers workshops and presentations to organisations wishing to learn more about the issue of food over production and food waste. Our team will share the latest statistics on food waste in Malaysia and globally, they will explain the cause of food waste and the effects this is having on our environment. During the interactive workshop, participants will test their knowledge and become more aware of their own personal impact on the environment through food waste. Participants will also discover how they can help The Lost Food Project. Get in touch with CSR team at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a Lunch n Learn.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The Lost Food Project offers a variety of opportunities for organisations to deliver on their CSR commitments through volunteering opportunities and sponsorship.
Our CSR partners at Touch n Go supported our PPR Program, distributing surplus food to the urban poor. Shell Malaysia joined dozens of other corporate organisations to support our Ramadan campaign, the Twenty 200 Challenge, in which Shell Malaysia staff raised over RM20,000 for TLFP. Unilever will be partnering The Lost Food Project to donate meals through their Lazada Super Brand Day on 17th October. Buying Unilever products on this day will provide meals for those in need.
If you would like to learn more about how your organisation can participate in our activities, please contact our CSR team at email@example.com
We are available to visit students and staff in schools and universities in KL to present the issues of food waste. Contact our Education team to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to arrange a visit.
CLEAN OUR PLATE
In partnership with AIESEC's Clean Our Plate program, The Lost Food Project is helping to deliver food waste management education in Malaysian schools. Contact our Education team email@example.com if you would like to find out more about the Clean Our Plate program by AIESEC.
