The Lost Food Project is calling on schools and universities to use World Food Day as an opportunity to promote #zerohunger and to raise awareness of how food waste damages the environment.
IDEAS FOR SCHOOLS & UNIVERSITIES
Here are some ways you could implement the #MYCleanPlate Challenge in your school or uni:
- Give students house points for participating
- Provide students with a merit for taking part and achieving a ‘clean plate’
- Teachers of each class could sit with their students to eat lunch. Take a class photo of clean plates/empty lunch boxes!
- Invite students to design a poster for the Food & Agricultural Organisation’s World Food Day Poster competition. Visit hwww.fao.org/world-food- day/contest/en/
Send your photos to tlfpeducation@gmail.com – We won’t post photos of students on social media without permission.
If your school or university would like to partner TLFP in one of our campaigns please email us at tlfpeducation@gmail.com
