The ideal candidate should be able to perform the following:
- Work closely with the Line Managers and Volunteer Management team to asses available resources for volunteer program activities.
- Conduct continuous evaluation of the programs and services delivered by the volunteer and implement corrections when necessary.
- Together with the Charities Team, monitor and supervise charities liaison volunteers to ensure efficient coordination and effective communication of tasks and responsibilities.
- Assist the Food Rescue team to manage corporate food rescue groups + TLFP volunteer driver WA group; recruit volunteers for daily/weekly food rescue (i.e. bread/chicken from bakeries/restaurant)
- Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit volunteers with the right skills at the right time to match the interest of the organisation.
- Assist staff to work effectively with volunteers on each program.
- Research and draft volunteer policies and procedures, including risk assessments, if needed.
- Maintain an up-to-date database and use this information to monitor and evaluate activities; and provide relevant reports for the Managers.
- Design and organise formal or informal activities to recognize the contributions of volunteers to the organization.
- Work closely with the Corporate Engagement Manager to coordinate volunteer activities for Corporate CSR volunteers, and develop programmes to ensure continuous engagements with the Corporate Partners.
- Together with the Communications Manager, organise specific public relations exercise to recruit more volunteers and raise the profile of existing ones.
- Ensure that the welfare of volunteers is high, and perform any other administrative activities.
