The Lost Food Project was thrilled to host Hazel Quek Xue Fang from The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN) for a three-day visit in Malaysia as part of TLFP’s acceptance into the GFN Accelerator Program. This program fosters innovation and capacity building in the member food banks through advocacy, sharing best practices with other food banks in the global network, and more.
By joining forces with GFN, TLFP is poised to magnify its impact in the fight to rescue surplus food to promote sustainable consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions while helping to achieve food security and improve nutrition in our communities.
Over the next three years, TLFP will benefit from resources, expertise, and mentorship provided by GFN and its network of food banks in nearly 50 countries across six continents. We at TLFP are thrilled to have reached this milestone of being recognised by the world’s largest foodbanking network after our eight-year journey and are excited about our potential to make this world greener and healthier in the future.
