TLFP Collaborates with Junior Marriott Business Council: A Successful Event Fighting Food Waste Together

 

On February 22, 2023, The Lost Food Project (TLFP) joined forces with the Junior Marriott Business Council for an inspiring and educational event aimed at combating food waste. The collaboration brought together like-minded individuals to raise awareness about the critical issues of food waste and climate change. Led by TLFP’s CEO, Ab Wahab, the event featured a captivating presentation, “The Lost Food Talk,” which shed light on the impact of food waste and highlighted TLFP’s crucial role in addressing this global challenge.

 

The event began with “The Lost Food Talk,” presented by TLFP’s esteemed CEO, Ab Wahab. With passion and expertise, Ab Wahab discussed the staggering consequences of food waste and its direct correlation to climate change. Attendees gained valuable insights into TLFP’s mission and the various initiatives the organization has undertaken to reduce food waste and fight hunger in Malaysia. The presentation served as a wake-up call, inspiring attendees to take action and make a positive change in their own lives and communities.

 

Following the enlightening talk, participants engaged in a quick home composting workshop, where they learned practical techniques to repurpose food waste into nutrient-rich compost for gardening. This hands-on activity empowered attendees to adopt sustainable practices in their own homes, further reducing food waste and contributing to a greener future. The event concluded with a fun and interactive quiz session, challenging participants with intriguing food waste facts and fostering a deeper understanding of the issue. The quiz not only provided an opportunity for friendly competition but also reinforced the importance of collective knowledge and efforts in combating food waste.
